Trout Unlimited-Washington Water Project seeks E. WA Construction Contract Mgr.

TU seeks a full-time Construction Contract Manager to work with irrigators and contractors on projects that enhance instream flow and improve habitat for salmonids in Methow River.  The position requires a person who is detail oriented and should be self-motivated.  Skills relating to construction observation, contract management, hydrology, working agriculture, and project management are preferred in this position. The Construction Contract Manager will support TU’s presence as a leader in working on project oriented streamflow restoration and habitat conservation. This position requires frequent travel and will be based out of Twisp, Washington.

Job Announcement: Mason County WSU Extension Director

This faculty position will serve as a catalyst for capacity building within Mason County – linking WSU and county government resources to evolving community economic development, natural resources, and food systems opportunities. As County Director, this position is responsible for fostering a strong and collaborative relationship with county government to ensure the continuing partnership with Mason County in offering WSU Extension programs. County Director administrative duties include: supervision of support-staff personnel; preparing and managing the budget of the Mason County Extension Office; upholding the covenants within the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Mason County and WSU; and ensuring office compliance with all policies and procedures of WSU and Mason County Government.

The King County Agriculture Program conserves agriculture land, promotes ecologically sound farm practices, and encourages continuing economic vitality of agriculture in the County.

This position is the staff liaison for the King County Agriculture Commission, which advises the County Executive and Council on agriculture issues. The position also has primary responsibility for work on policy and regulations to support agriculture, in cooperation with other programs in the division, the county permitting department and other agencies.  The position will integrate efforts of the Agriculture Commission with the food economy initiative and other county initiatives.  The position will also be responsible for tracking program progress on plans and recommendations related to agriculture. The position will work as part of the team to manage data on the land base and agricultural production in the county and work toward a more robust and sustainable agricultural sector.  The position must have the technical, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to accomplish change and implement recommendations.
